International Yoga Day Talk series:

20th June: A very receptive audience of sadhaks gathered at Chaitanya Bharathi, Bangalore the night before IYD, to get glimpses of the Supreme Yoga. The special theme will be part of the forthcoming AMP at the same venue 16 -19 July, 2015.

22nd June: Thanks to a live Smartphone Webcast, like us, thousands across the Eastern Hemisphere woke up this morning  to listen to the Master perform Desk top yoga and later got entertained to a cultural extravaganza at NewYork’s Lincoln Centre on the theme of Yoga. Bappi Lahiri’s robust musical rendition on "Peace and Harmony" along with a renowned American Soul singer was a master stroke.

International Yoga Day Talk series:

Time Out with the  Indian Air force

Air Force needs the air element of Panch Maha bhutas to keep their flying machines in action against external enemies; Yoga uses the same air element as breath in kriya to heal the body and keep the internal enemies under check!

This brief introduction broke the ice and triggered the curiosity of the audience to hear more!

All India Radio Program on “Yoga, the Journey within”

18 June 2015

Was at the studios of All India Radio to address listeners on the topic- “Yoga, the Journey within”
Having been an artiste on AIR on several occasions as a teenager, the visit evoked nostalgia. Decades ago, before TV, long before news became entertainment, when IT still meant Income Tax, Radio ruled the waves. That was the time when dinner was not served till the head of family had listened to the 9 o'clock on All India Radio. At fixed times listeners dropped everything else to listen to it, and not the present-day 24-hour onslaught of choice where all media say the same thing. The radio today is a symbol perhaps of what we have lost — a shared sense of community.

Here is wishing that IYD opens new vistas to Yoga practitioners to strive further, go beyond asanas and postures to embrace the higher dimension of Supreme Yoga.

Two years ago , when he was at Chaitanya, we all were soaked in knowledge and amazed by the Yoga Vasishta sessions.

Its time to relive it again.

We have an informal Satsang with Arunji on 20th June 2015. at Chaitanya Bharathi. Would be great to have you with us on this evening

The week that was! Madhuram Madhuram rocks:

2nd June 2015: Strange but true, previous visits to the Island nation invariably coincided with Vesak, hailed as Buddha Purnima, This time no exception. The bonus was the opportunity to lead a delightful Full Moon meditation and share Gurudev's wisdom at a venue beside Lankan sea shore. There's nothing more beautiful than the way the ocean refuses to stop kissing the shoreline, no matter how many times it's sent away! Our thoughts are no different!
The smiles we carried from the AMP participants were priceless as they happily swayed to the beats of the newly released bhajan "Madhuram Madhuram".

5th June 2015: The Karamadai Ranganath Mandir satsang was overwhelming in devotion. The newly built Raja Gopuram (Temple tower) in seven levels beside the satsang venue was majestic. Reminded the audience that a disconnect with a cell phone tower is nothing serious; but the spiritual connect with the mystic tower has to remain uninterrupted! The evening ended with the waves of Vol 7 bhajans holding sway.

6th June 2015: Deeply appreciative and beholden to the numerous birthday messages today.
The day was spent in a rural belt away from cell phone towers! The on-stage interaction with the well known folk singer- composer duo Dr.Vijaylakshmi-Navneet Krishna was memorable. The couple served as Professors in the Department of Folk Arts and Culture in Madurai University and have recorded more than 10,000 audio albums of authentic folk music.
