Inaugural of Sri Sri Hall at Nandambakkam 29th January,2017

The satsang location in Chennai was where Sage Bhringi lived and observed austerities.  Legend has it that Lord Rama on his way to Lanka, offered homage to the Rishi, doing penance on a hill..  The Sage requested Lord Rama to stay with him. A beautiful Nandavanam was laid near the hill where Lord Rama spent his time. The name Nandavanam metamorphosed, in course of time, into Nandambakkam! 

The descendants of Vijayanagara Kingdom constructed a temple for Rama, Sita and Lakshmana, around 750 years ago, in the place where Lord Rama stayed.

An uncomplicated path to Bhakti and Mukthi.

The musical discourse was a tribute ?unfolding  world- wide commemoration of 1000th Jayanthi celebrations of Ramanujacharya ( CE 1017-1137). He lived for 120 years and brought in path- breaking reforms in worship and temple management practices. His foremost aim was to lead people towards Bhakti and Mukthi. In doing so, he didn't differentiate people and imparted his wisdom to everyone impartially.

New Year eve Satsang

The story of Bhakt Prahlad, the one filled with joy, has pride of place in Srimad Bhagavatam. He was truly blessed. Even while being in mother's womb, he got to hear sacred chants and music from Narad muni that shaped his legendary devotional path later.

Paediatrics of modern times call it Mozart-effect! At the New year- eve satsang, we had very young ones soaking in nectarene bhajans that their mothers have been listening to and singing. One of them took blessings, got on to the stage and sat amidst us  through mid night hours!
