Celebrations currently on in the rural setting Sri Villiputtur. Spread over a fortnight to mark the birth of Sri Andal, the only woman Azhwar saint. She composed beautiful literary gems which are sung even today across the world by devotees including the Priests at the Coronation of Thai monarchy.
Though it was getting close to mid night, the large turnout sat enthralled soaking in blissful bhajans set to healing ragas.
